Calling all EVAR REALTOR® Offices for the 2022 Fairhaven REALTOR® Office Contest
Join the East Valley Association of REALTORS® and the 2022 Diversity Committee for an office-wide Fairhaven Contest!
What is this contest about?
EVAR’s REALTOR® offices will compete to see which offices have the most REALTOR® members to go through the Fairhaven simulation, provided by NAR. We are holding this contest so that we can ensure that you, our REALTOR® member, educate yourself on fair housing practices and uphold the principles and ethics that fair housing requires.
What is Fairhaven?
Fairhaven is a fair housing simulator provided by the National Association of REALTORS®, and is designed to educate members on fair housing and how to identify, address, and prevent discriminatory practices in real estate. The simulation is available through NAR at Fairhaven.REALTOR.
How do we compete?
You are already technically entered into the contest (no purchase necessary), and the main way to compete is to take the Fairhaven simulation from start to finish. At the end of the contest, the offices with the highest number of completion will win based on their category of entry, which is as follows:

Now comes the fine print for the winning criteria: Only one winning office per category will be selected. The winning office will be based on overall completion percentage of the members of the office. If a tiebreaker is needed (i.e. multiple offices have the same amount of percentage completion in a category), the winner will be chosen via a name draw.
How long does the contest go for?
The contest started on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 following our April General Membership Meeting, and ends on Friday, May 13, 2022. That gives you close to a month to jump onto the Fairhaven simulation and complete it to raise the numbers of your office!
What do we get if we win?
Glad you asked! The winning office from each category will be given specialized diversity pins, and will have an ice cream social held for them, all provided by EVAR! Pins and ice cream – it doesn’t get any sweeter than that!
What else do I need to know?
Not much! The flyer is below, and you can use the QR code in the flyer or go directly to the Fairhaven link to get to NAR’s Fairhaven page. Once you’ve completed Fairhaven, you don’t need to do anything else – we’ll keep track on the EVAR side. Just make sure to remember to remind and encourage your fellow office mates to do Fairhaven, too, so you can up your numbers!
